SealedVoice privacy policy

SealedVoice collects nothing and sends nothing, to me or to anyone else.

This policy covers the app. The websites, the waitlist and emails are covered by the nestak.eu privacy policy.

SealedVoice has no analytics, no crash reports and no account. The licence is checked offline from a signed key, the speech models are part of the app, and you download and install updates by hand.

Your recordings, transcripts and settings are stored in the app’s data folder on your Mac. I can’t see them.

Your licence key and how much of the free trial you have used are kept on your Mac too, the trial count in the macOS Keychain. Neither is sent anywhere.

To delete a recording or transcript, delete it in the app.

Copies in your own backups, for example Time Machine, stay until those backups expire.

Paddle, as merchant of record, processes your payment and order data under its own privacy policy.

When the payment is complete, Paddle notifies my licence service, a small program on Cloudflare. It asks Paddle for your email address, creates your licence and emails it to you through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework), which keeps a record of the email under its privacy policy. The licence service keeps only the transaction number, so that a repeated message from Paddle doesn’t send a second licence.

I see your order (name, email, country and what you bought) in Paddle’s dashboard to deliver the licence and give support, and I don’t copy it anywhere else. Legal basis: performing the contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Paddle keeps orders for as long as tax and accounting law requires; I keep no other copy of my own.
